Poster session
Participate at the International LED Event 2008 scientific poster session on February 12 + 13 in Eindhoven,
The Netherlands. The session is aimed to present the latest achievements in research, development &
engineering of Solid State Lighting, OLEDs, LED Optics and Thermal design of LED Applications. Posters are
being solicited for a wide range specific technical areas concerning high power (an)organic led applications,
such as thermal design, secondary optics, electric design and control and drivers.
Examples of research topics: Research for White LED Encapsulants, Color Uniformity Improvement of Mixed-Color LED Systems, White LED Cylinder Lamp, LED Thermal Management Using Nanomaterials, Optical
Properties of Phosphor to Improve White LED Performance, Development of an Energy-Efficient, Ultra-Thin
LED Luminaire, Novel Microlens Materials for Beam Control in Thin-profile LED Luminaires, Metrics and
Measurement Procedures for LED Lighting Systems, Detectability of LED Fixtures with IR Cameras, Metrics
for LED Lighting Brightness, Thermal Management in Blue LED. Also research topics on print material
(thermal), Distribition, design and simulation (thermal), Lenses, collimators and reflectors, Communication and
controlling protocols, drivers and current source, AC devises are very actual.
Because the International LED Event has an audience of representatives from academia, research institutes
as well as industry we advice that the presented posters show an application message. The session is also
aimed to facilitate networking amongst peers to discuss topics of common
concern and interest.
The poster sessions will be at the expo, amidst the conference settings of the
event and will be accessible for the conference delegates of the LED Event but
also of the parallel held International Photonics Conference and Photovoltaics
Conference. A poster submission must include an abstract of up to 300 words
in English. Also include the title of the poster, the application area, the URL of a
website related to the poster, if applicable. Submission deadline is January 15.
Postdocs submitting a scientific poster pay only: € 195,- [Excl. of VAT, incl. conference ticket]
